The LEARN bootcamps aim to provide passionate Club members with opportunities to enrich their learning in tech and media through industry-backed holiday programmes. Club members will have a deeper appreciation of the topics and reinforce their learning through these programmes.

Unity Game Development Bootcamp (Secondary/JC level)

The Unity Game Development bootcamp provides students the opportunity to work on a versatile game engine that many mobile games are built on. In this week-long bootcamp, students will learn to use the Unity game engine, acquire coding skills in C# for Unity and be equipped with game design fundamentals and philosophy. As a final project, students will customise their own game using the Unity platform.

When: 18 – 21 June 2024, 9.00 am – 4.00 pm
Where: St. Patrick’s School – 490 East Coast Rd, Singapore 429058
Requirements: Nil - Windows PCs will be provided at the bootcamp. Students can bring their own Windows PC or macOS devices. Note that iPads and Chromebooks are not supported.
Note: Meals are not provided. Students are encouraged to bring packed meals or purchase meals from the vicinity of St. Patrick’s School.

Goldman Sachs AI Illuminator Coding Workshop (Secondary level)

The Goldman Sachs AI Illuminator Coding Workshop will teach secondary school students basic Python and AI concepts through the use of Raspberry Pi microcontrollers and Telegram bots. Students will get hands-on experience with the programming of microcontrollers integrated with sensors and LEDs, and using bots to create a sustainability project.

Students will also get to interact with Goldman Sachs professionals to gain insights on the use of technology in the financial industry.

When: 30 – 31 May 2024, 9.00 am – 3.00 pm

Requirements: A Google or Gmail account is required for the activities. Windows PCs and hardware will be provided at the Bootcamp. Students do not need to bring any hardware.

UBtech AI Robotics Bootcamp (Primary level)

Course content overview

A 4-day AI and Robotics Bootcamp that reinforces students’ coding skills, incorporating image recognition, sorting algorithms, and hands-on robot engineering projects.

Explore Cutting-Edge Robotics: The UBTECH AI Robotics Bootcamp offers primary school students a unique opportunity to explore the realms of artificial intelligence with state-of-the-art AI-enhanced robots. Participants will navigate through the fundamentals of AI and robotics, pushing the boundaries of what they can create.

Develop Skills for the Future: Through interactive block coding exercises, students will learn how to breathe life into robots, enabling them to solve a variety of real-world challenges. The Bootcamp is packed with exciting activities that utilize advanced image and sound recognition technologies and the practical application of algorithms.

Hands-On Engineering Experience: Get ready to get your hands on various mimicry robots and dive deep into the mechanics of AI functionalities. The bootcamp also covers essential programming concepts like functions, variables, and sensor integration, which are crucial for any budding robotics engineer.
